I ask around... and Marika from Live, Laugh, Love (and sometimes Sew....) answers me!!! It's in my comments section from my last post, but I copied and pasted a portion of her reply.
"Unfortunately, I don't have a lot of quilting books but I know Cluck Cluck Sew, Diary of a Quilter, Stitched in Colors have really good beginner quilter series so you may want to look at that. If you have any question I can answer, feel free to ask !"
Marika has an adorable blog, be sure to visit her!!! Super cute! So, off to Cluck, Cluck Sew!!! So clucky cute!!! Totally insprired and I can't wait to start quilting my first project!
I google... and I find "Tips for Picking Your First Quilting Book", which has logical tips. Be sure to read these tips because these tips make total sense!! I'm so tempted to order one of those books online, but do I? I want the book now! Still, I want to thumb thru the book (and smell the new smell) before I lay my mu-lah down. The lightbulb switch came on, do I want an electronic version of the book for my Nook?
So I google again. The same 2 books are listed.
Make a Quilt in a Day Log Cabin Pattern by Eleanor Burns.
So my next questions, are there any more beginner books that I should review before making a purchase?? Have you read the above books?

I haven't read those books but I would suggest Material Obsession by Sarah Fielke or The practical guide to patchwork by Elizabeth Hartmann - both amazing books!
ReplyDeleteThanks Deborah! I did google "Material Obsession" and found it to be a beautiful book! Of course, I could only see a few pages, but I'm interested!! I'll be checking it out this weekend at the bookstores. Thanks so much!
